The swim takes place in an inlet in the Columbia River. The triangle-shaped swim is notoriously fast and wetsuits are allowed.

After completing the swim, racers mount their bikes in the park and head out along the traffic-controlled highway for an out-and-back ride. The ride offers some rolling hills and breathtaking scenery.

Once finished with the ride, racers begin the run that circles through Daroga State Park. Sprint distance racers complete one lap of the 3.1 mile loop and Olympic distance racers complete two laps.

This is a TRINW ranked event.
